Beecher Hills Elementary School is an APS School and located along the Atlanta Beltline in Southwest Atlanta.  The civil scope consisted of adding a gymnasium on the north side of the existing school which presented a few logistic issues.  The new gym was designed 14' below the existing finish floor and required underpinning and shoring to support the existing school while the new gym was constructed.  Over 800 loads of dirt was hauled to build the proposed pad and a 96" diameter underground detention system was installed to manage the proposed run off for the newly developed site.
